One-to-One Therapeutic Counselling

We often end up searching for a therapist when we have had enough of carrying our problems around by ourselves.

 

It can be nerve wracking taking the first step to talking therapy, but I wholeheartedly believe it to be a worthwhile process. It is truly fascinating, and often liberating, to build our self awareness and understand our patterns of relating to others.

 

I’m a qualified counsellor and I provide a confidential, warm space for you to talk freely and openly. I offer both long and short term therapy and I work integratively; which means I draw on various theories to tailor my approach to best suit you, as I believe we are all individuals, with unique needs.

 

I have experience working with adults from various backgrounds, cultures and walks of life.

Practice Description

Theories I draw on include personal-centred theory which means we will build a therapeutic relationship, so we are able to work collaboratively to help you look at any issues you wish to face. I also draw on psychodynamic theory, which looks back at past experiences to see how they may be influencing current feelings or behaviours.

My First Session

Please feel free to contact me to discuss making an appointment. You can call me, send an email or text. Initially, we can have a no obligation brief phone call to discuss your needs and what I can offer. During which we can arrange your first session.

 

The first session is a mix of agreeing how we will work together and learning what you can expect from our sessions. It’s also a chance for me to get an overview of what your current concerns are and what you hope to achieve through counselling.
